The Datchworth Summer League [ Report from Malcolm]
This season the club consolidated its position in the local Herts Summer League. Our 1st Team (Debbie, Ray and the two Steve’s) played well to retain their position in the hotly contested Division 4 whilst our 2nd Team almost gained promotion from Division 7 (Anna, Chris, Paul and Malcolm). We entered a new 3rd Team in the league and the squad of players (Jenny, Annabel, Maggie, Viv, Steve, Sam, Neil and Dermot) did exceedingly well to top Division 9 and win promotion. Well done to Jenny who captained this team. We now look forward with confidence to the Autumn League matches which are played every Saturday afternoon from the first Saturday of September until the first Saturday of November. Why not come along and watch some exciting rallies and support our players.
